What Is Video Intelligence? A Plain-English Definition
The software layer that turns CCTV footage into real-time decisions — explained clearly.

"200 cameras recording. None of them is watching." That was the line on screen as Sorveo took the stage at Demo Day in Podgorica, Montenegro — and it captures precisely the problem we exist to solve.
We're proud to announce that Sorveo has been selected to join the Digital Den Acceleration Programme, following a successful Demo Day presentation in Podgorica.
The selection comes after several months in the MTSB Europe Pre-Acceleration Programme, an initiative that brought together 15 promising startups from seven countries. Throughout the programme, founders worked closely with experienced mentors to refine their products, validate their business models, strengthen their go-to-market strategies and prepare for investment.
At the programme's concluding Demo Day, startups presented their businesses to a panel of judges, investors, mentors and industry leaders. We're delighted that Sorveo achieved two significant milestones:
While recognition on Demo Day is exciting, the real significance lies in what it represents.
Security organisations around the world have invested millions in CCTV infrastructure, yet many systems remain largely reactive. Security teams often discover incidents only after they have already occurred, requiring operators to review hours of recorded footage to understand what happened.
Sorveo is changing that. Our AI-powered video intelligence platform transforms existing camera networks into proactive security systems capable of detecting suspicious activity and security risks in real time. Rather than simply recording events, Sorveo helps organisations identify threats as they develop, enabling faster intervention and reducing operational risk.
This approach allows organisations to make better use of the surveillance infrastructure they already own, delivering greater situational awareness without the need to replace existing camera investments.
One of the aspects that made this recognition particularly meaningful is that Sorveo was not presented as a concept or research project.
Our platform is already operational with pilot customers and has been designed to address real security challenges across multiple sectors, including:
Sorveo combines advanced computer vision with configurable AI models to detect events such as perimeter intrusions, unauthorised access, watchlist matches, tailgating and other operational security incidents — generating real-time alerts that allow security teams to respond immediately.
Joining the Digital Den Acceleration Programme represents an important step in Sorveo's international growth strategy.
The programme provides access to experienced mentors, investors and business networks across Europe, creating opportunities to accelerate commercial partnerships and expand our presence beyond our existing markets — complementing our established operations across Africa and the United Kingdom.
As we continue to grow, our focus remains unchanged: building practical AI solutions that help organisations move from reacting to security incidents to preventing them.
This achievement reflects the dedication and commitment of many people. We would like to thank the Digital Den team, programme mentors, organisers and judges for creating an exceptional environment that supports innovation and entrepreneurship.
We are also grateful to our Board of Directors, advisors, partners and every member of the Sorveo team whose hard work has made this milestone possible. And congratulations to all of the outstanding startups that participated in the programme — the quality of innovation on display made the experience both inspiring and rewarding.
Winning the Audience Choice Award and progressing into the Digital Den Acceleration Programme is not the destination — it is another important step in Sorveo's journey.
As organisations continue to face increasingly complex security challenges, we remain committed to developing intelligent AI solutions that enable faster decision-making, stronger protection and safer environments. We look forward to the next stage of our journey, and to sharing further updates as Sorveo continues to grow across Africa, Europe and beyond.
