Feature overview

What watchlist matching includes.

Face watchlists

POIs, banned individuals, VIPs, registered staff or visitors. Up to thousands of entries per watchlist.

Vehicle plate watchlists

Plate watchlists for suspect vehicles, access-managed populations (staff, deliveries, residents), or fleet tracking.

Pattern watchlists

Behaviour patterns — known shoplifting signatures, loitering profiles, repeated approach-retreat patterns.

Governed access

Only authorised roles can edit. Every change is audit-logged. Quarterly review reports out of the box.

Configurable retention

Per-watchlist retention windows. Entries auto-expire. Defensible under NDPR / POPIA.

Multi-channel alerting

Matches route to control-room, app, SMS, or third-party SIEM/PSIM — per-watchlist routing rules.

Use cases

Where watchlists earn their keep.

Retail

Repeat-offender suppression

Previously-caught individuals trigger an instant alert when they re-enter the store. Most stop targeting the site within weeks.

Banking

Suspect-of-interest monitoring

Watchlist matches in branches and ATM lobbies route discreet alerts to security supervisors and external response.

Estates

Resident-vehicle access

Resident plate watchlist enables passive gate access; non-watchlisted plates require visitor verification.

Hospitality

VIP recognition on arrival

Loyalty-tier and VIP guests recognised on arrival; service signals route to concierge.

Logistics

Fleet-vehicle yard tracking

Plate watchlists for owned and contracted fleet enable yard-presence reporting and dwell-time analytics.

Corporate

Restricted-area enforcement

Pattern watchlists for known unauthorised behaviour — tailgating signatures, restricted-zone loitering.

Industries

Deployed everywhere watchlists matter.

Frequently asked

Watchlist FAQ.

What types of watchlists does Sorveo support?

Face watchlists, vehicle plate watchlists, and pattern-based behaviour watchlists. Each is governed by role-based access, audit logging, and configurable retention.

Who can edit a watchlist?

Only roles with explicit edit permission. Every edit is timestamped, attributed, and audit-logged. Quarterly review reports are available out of the box.

How fast does a watchlist match generate an alert?

Face matches: 2-8 seconds. Vehicle plate matches: 1-3 seconds. Pattern matches: under 30 seconds in normal conditions.

Is the watchlist content my own?

Yes. Watchlists are wholly customer-owned. Sorveo doesn't supply or share watchlist content. There is no general-population database matching.
